Mia Shrout
Mia Shrout is a freshman at Highlands High School taking journalism this year. This is her first year taking Journalism at HHS and she is super excited to see what it is all about. Mia has had experience in the journalism field, joining the club at Ruth Moyer in 5th grade and continuing that in 8th grade at Highlands Middle School. Her favorite thing to do in school is to write about things she has an opinion on. She also enjoys reading when the book is something she may be interested in. She has many other activities she is interested in as well though. Mia is on the Highlands Junior Varsity Dance Team and also dances at Rapture Dance Company. She works hard in the classroom and outside of it. Although she has a busy schedule, her determination allows her to manage her time wisely and still be able to do everything she wants to. Mia is excited to see where her time in journalism takes her this year and to see how much her writing improves as the year goes on.
