The school year is coming to an end, and so is the Publication Class of 2025-2026. To celebrate the immense accomplishments this year, there was an end-of-the-year party on Friday, May 15.
In honor of the amazing seniors, underclassmen got the opportunity to give a send-off speech to represent the impact they had on the program.
“I really didn’t know how much of an impact that I’ve had on people and more importantly how they have impacted me in class, leadership has brought me lifelong friends that I am the most sad to be leaving next year. My time in journalism has been the best of my high school. I’ve grown, found something I’ve loved and found support doing it,” Ella Peabody (12) said.
Luke Deegan (11) spoke for Ava Muzumdar(12), Merary Valdez Deleon (11) spoke for Cydni Martin (12), Gemma Cutigar (11) spoke for Aster Bredwell (12), Kara Labor (11) spoke for Ella Peabody (12), and lastly, Andrea Suarez Espinosa (10) spoke for Natalie Heingardener (12). Each person described how their assigned seniors had impacted them.
“Honestly, it took me a couple of days to get it together. I felt nervous to share it, but I knew whatever I wrote would be coming from the heart, which made it feel special in the moment,” Suarez Espinosa (10) said.
Additionally, there were awards given to the following Publication students to appreciate their hard work over the year.
