On Friday Nov. 21, the Highlands Bluebirds closed out their season with a 35-21 loss, the third of their season, against the
Corbin Redhounds.
Offensively Highlands had 158 rushing yards and 158 passing yards.
Quarterback Rio Litmer (12) threw 3 interceptions and 2 touchdown passes, he also completed 13 of his 28 pass attempts for a total of 154 yards.
Tayden Lorenzen (11) led with 90 rushing yards. Following behind was Colton Kremer (10) with 35 rushing yards.
Special teams Kai Anderson (11) lined up for three PAT (point after touchdown) attempts and converted all of them.
Defensively, Highlands allowed 355 rushing yards and 40 passing yards.
The team scored one rushing touchdown, two receiving touchdowns, and 3 extra points.
Corbin will advance to the semi-finals after Friday’s game. Their next game will be against Boyle County on Nov. 28 at 7:30 PM.
