On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Highlands swim team competed against various teams at the Simon Kenton Sprint Meet. The Bluebirds came out on top for boys and girls combined.
On the men’s side, outstanding performers included seniors Noah Gracey, Robbie Koester, and Matthew Meyers. Overall, the boys placed second to a long-lasting rival, Covington Catholic.
The girls placed first out of 10 teams, gaining almost double the points of the second-place team, Notre Dame. Swimmers Ragan Moore (12), Addie Tinkler (12), and Taryn Ripley (9) all played an important role in the team’s win.
The birds’ next competition is this Saturday at Scott High School.
