Highlands extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, Oct. 23. With a dominant 3-0 victory over Newport Central Catholic.
Offensively, the Bluebirds were sharp and consistent, led by Liz Perkins (12), who powered the attack with 15 kills. Ava Muzumdar directed the offense effectively, finishing with 17 assists, while Bella Thomas (12) was a force from the service line, adding 3 aces to the team’s total.
Defensively, Highlands stayed disciplined, limiting NCC’s scoring opportunities and keeping the pressure on throughout all three sets.
This win bumps Highlands’ record up to 24-9 and marks the second time this season that they’ve defeated Newport Central Catholic 3-0.
Highlands will look to continue their momentum as they prepare for region against Beechwood on Sunday, Oct. 26 starting at 4 p.m.
