Notre Dame Academy won 1-0 against Highlands on Saturday, September 13.
Highlands had several scoring opportunities but could not find the net. Ariana Harms (12) and Hope Darnell (10) each registered shots, while Ella Jones (11), Isa Neufarth (12), Ally Lickert (9), and Macy Hargis (12) all put shots on the goal to test the NDA keeper.
In goal, Bailee Class (10) anchored the Bluebirds’ defense, allowing 4 shots on target while making 6 saves and letting in one goal. Highlands also earned 3 corner kicks throughout the match.
The Bluebirds played a physical game, finishing with 12 fouls.
The Highlands girls lost again to Campbell County, 3-1, on Monday, September 16.
Highlands will look to rebound when they take on Dixie Heights at Dixie September 17, with a kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
