The Highlands High School Girls Tennis team played a match against Conner High School on Thursday, April 18. The Bluebirds ended up beating the Cougars and the whole team looked great.
Sophomore, Liza Zengel had this to say about her performance and the whole team;
“Overall we played really good yesterday in our match against Conner.”
The team played on all of the courts at Tower Park. Singles matches took up the first 3 courts and the rest were used for the doubles and non-varsity matches.
Junior, Victoria Powell played on doubles team 1 for Highlands with sophomore, Liza Zengel and had this to say about her, and the team’s performance on Thursday;
“I think we played really well, we played the net really good. The team did good, we won and I think we’ve only lost 2 (matches) over all.”
