The dancing Birds coach Ashley Wrobleski commented on her views regarding the performance of her team. “The dancers performed AMAZING at nationals. They had large improvement from last year jumping 21 placements in pom and making a comeback in the hip-hop division”
Wrobleski mentioned one particular dancer who really shined this year. “We have one senior this year who deserves huge recognition for her leadership and commitment to the Varsity Dance Team, Belle Fischer.
Senior Belle Fischer—the only senior on the dance team—explained how she feels about her team’s performance. “I think our performance was fantastic. I think we all would’ve liked a higher placement (duh) but we are really proud of what we put out there and genuinely think we did our best.”
Fischer also commented on what area she thinks the team can improve. “The only thing I think the team could improve on is our own self-confidence. We’re all amazing answers and sometimes we forget that.”
The dancing birds placed 18th in Hip-Hop and 13th in Pom. The dancing birds did great this season and Highlands is excited to see what they accomplish next.
