Senior Amaya Barton stated “We started out the season with a couple of losses, but now we are on a 7-game winning streak and hope to maintain that as long as possible,”

The girls basketball team is ranked in the top 25 for the first time in 4 years. The girls basketball team is 13-6 right now. Before Friday night in their game versus Ryle they had won the last 8 games in a row.  The girls basketball team has also played a win over Assumption Academy, who is top 25 in the state.

This one game against them is what boosted the girls ranking they had won 58-43. They also had a good game against Conner High School which they won. Conner is highly ranked in their region.

They have big games coming up. The girls have 2 games over the next three days with Senior Night on Friday Night.

“Throughout the season we have had ups and downs but recently we have been getting more and more consistent and growing as a team. Something that helps us win any game is our rebounding and that is something we always focus on during practice.” stated Saylor Macke (10)

The girls basketball team works and practices extremely hard whether it is off season. The team has been preparing for the games for months on end before the season had even started. They have come a long way leading up to these winning streaks that are well deserved.
