Highlands beat Newport Central Catholic 3-1 on October 18th, 2023.
This was a regional game and the Birds played well. Highlands came out strong and was scoring point-after-point against NCC (Newport Central Catholic).
Highlands was in complete control the whole game but in one of the earlier rounds it got close and Highlands ended up losing that round.
But after that, they locked in and Junior Ella Cox had 24 assists with three kills and senior Rachel Ossege had 24 kills, the most on the team that game.
Highlands ended up winning and Ella Cox won MVP for the game.
