On February 2, 2025, the 67th Annual Grammy Awards captivated audiences with thrilling nominations and performances by some of the biggest names in music.
There were many extraordinary performances on Sunday including Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Cynthia Erivo, Charli XCX, Benson Boone, Shakira and many more.
Within the event, five performances truly stole my heart.
First, my favorite performance of the night was Sabrina Carpenter. Carpenter’s comedic performance was outstanding and so were her thrilling vocals. Carpenter has always been a favorite performer of mine, and this performance alone allowed audiences to see just how talented she is.
Carpenter performed her top hits, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” on her newest album, Short n Sweet.
On Tuesday, February 4, Carpenter posted on her social media that she was coming out with a deluxe album for Short n Sweet due to the album winning two Grammys: “Pop Vocal Album” and “Pop Solo Performance” for “Espresso”. This had fans, including myself, buzzing when they saw that Dolly Parton would be featured on the album.

Second is Chappell Roan’s performance with her song “Pink Pony Club”.
Roan hit the stage on top of a giant horse surrounded by background dancers dressed as clowns.
Roan always has a certain vibe to her performances and I love it so much. Every time she hits the stage I am in awe of her presence and raw vocals.
Roan has worked hard for the success she has gained this year. She won the award for “Best New Artist”, which was a no-brainer.
This is only the beginning of Roan’s career and she has already accomplished so many amazing things in less than a year.

Third is Billie Eilish’s performance of “Birds of a Feather” with her brother FINNEAS. The performance was a great way to get the audience started for the night.
Her performance was dedicated to her hometown in Los Angeles for the fires that have recently occurred in the city.
Eilish’s raw vocals amaze me every time, especially when she sings alongside FINNEAS.
In my opinion, Eilish should have won “Album of the Year” with her newest album Hit Me Hard and Soft. She was definitely robbed of that award, and many on social media think the same . The fact that the album did not win any Grammys made no sense to me.

Fourth is Doechii with her performance of “Catfish” and “Denial Is A River” from her newest album, Alligator Bites Never Heal. This album won “Best Rap Album”, making Doechii the third woman to win a Grammy in this category, the other two being Cardi B and Lauryn Hill.
Doechii’s first performance at the Grammys was amazing, with her strong vocals carrying as she did flips and was always moving throughout the song. Having such a steady voice takes skill, and especially with this being her first Grammys.
I knew who Doechii was from her song “Denial Is a River” and her feature on Katy Perry’s song “I’M HIS, HE’S MINE”, but after watching her performance, I can tell this is just the beginning of a huge career for her.

Fifth is Cynthia Erivo’s performance of the song “Fly Me to the Moon” in tribute to Quincy Jones with Herbie Hancock.
Erivo’s breathtaking vocals carried this performance in a beautiful rendition of the classic song. Her starring in the 2024 hit movie, “Wicked” allowed more audiences to engage in her work and get a sense of just how great of a vocalist she is.
She was a great choice to tribute Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock.

The 67th Grammys were very successful with all of these excellent artists giving it their all on the stage.
