Since November, the teasing for Noah Kahan’s new album has increased significantly, with three major parts. He officially announced the album was done on Nov. 25, created a presave link in his social media bios, and created a secret TikTok account named @thelastofthebugs to tease his album.
The release date has not been confirmed, though lots of speculation has come through from Kahan’s secret TikTok account. The last of the bugs is a lyric from his song, “The View Between Villages.” Some speculate it could be the album name, though it seems to be more of a hint at the release date.
“I’ll see you when the bugs don’t die!” Kahan (@thelastofthebugs) said in a letter he posted on his secret TikTok.
Fans speculate this could hint towards a first day of spring release date on Mar. 20. This date lines up with the average release cycle, with the 20th being a Friday.
Kahan has teased multiple new songs since the last update, including: “Staying Still,” “Madrid 2001,” “Porch Light,” “Headed North,” “Spoiled,” “Haircut” and “Matter of Time.”
“Btw anyone worried that they’ve already heard the album thru the songs I’ve teased has u ain’t seen nothing yet,” Kahan (@noahkahanmusic) said over in Instagram story on Dec. 22.
More of the overall theme of his new album has been thought out, with three big ideas being growth, personal reflection and mental vulnerability. These are similar to another Noah Kahan album, “Stick Season,” though more are centered around moving on instead of grief.
Though no information has been confirmed, we can expect Kahan to announce his album at any time in the following weeks, with around two to three singles being released before the full album. Seeing his average setlists, it seems that “The Great Divide” and “Deny, Deny, Deny” are most probable to be released as singles, then maybe a feature such as the Bon Iver, “Wreckage of You” that was teased in 2024.
Things to look out for are teasers and leaks on his Instagram or TikTok. Knowing the album is finished and the presave link is out, the release is imminent in the early months of 2026.
