Dirty Birds fall short against West Clermont

Highlands varsity baseball faced Walton Verona on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Florence Yall’s stadium. The birds finished the game losing 9-2.

Offensively, Highlands had 5 total hits, all being singles. They did not draw a walk all game. The Birds were only able to successfully steal 1 base. They made 5 errors, which heavily contributed to the loss. They also struck out 4.

Michael Tincher (11), Ronan Thaler (11), Kai Anderson (11), Peyton Zimmerman (11), and Layton Riesenbeck (10) all tallied a single. Thaler (11) also had an RBI. 

On the mound, Noah Lahner (12) started the game off fairly strong, giving up 3 runs while only 2 were earned through 2.2 innings. Patrick Davidson (12) came in as relief, pitching 3.1 innings and giving up 6 runs, although only 2 were earned.

The Birds are now heading off to Walton Verona on Wednesday, April 29, at 5:30 p.m.

She has been in publications for 2 years and keeps going for her interest in photography. She would aspire to keep taking photography more seriously in the coming years at Highlands.
