The boys’ freshmen basketball team took on Cooper High School in the Highlands’ gym on Jan. 21 at 4:45 P.M.
The Birds made an incredible late 4th quarter comeback, winning 42-41.
To win the game with about 6 seconds left, the Birds drew up a play for Bryce Armstrong (9), but Cooper tipped the ball off the inbound, which landed in Quinton Simon’s (9) hands to hit the game-winning shot.
The Birds are in action next against Beachwood on Saturday at 11am.
