Birds handle business at home

Highlands varsity faced Cooper High School on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The birds finished the game with a 77-57 victory.

Offensively, Highlands scored a total of 77 points. The Birds outpaced Cooper across multiple quarters and built a decisive game by halftime and maintained it through the 4th quarter.

“Going into the Cooper game my mindset was to be aggressive with the ball,” Owen Ebert (12) said.

Defensively, Highlands’ rebounding helped control possession and contributed to their scoring opportunities.

Highlands will prepare for their next matchup at Newport Central Catholic on Jan. 23.
