Boys bowling team defeats Newport Central Catholic

Categories:

The varsity bowling team delivered a strong performance in their match on Jan. 8th. They defeated Newport Central Catholic’s team 5 to 2, with player Sid Jani (12) bowling a high game of 225. Throughout the game’s duration, the team showed lots of consistency, team spirit, and focus to help keep themselves in the lead. The bowling birds all pulled through together and secured the win for Highlands.

As the game went on, the bowlers adjusted their strategy, such as their arm position and the speed of the ball, to get the best results possible. They were always there for each other, no matter how many pins were knocked down. As they turned around after all the pins settled, there was always a fist bump waiting from a teammate. The support system they have makes them a strong force to combat.

The match was close, making it a fun and intense event for both the players and spectators. Their teamwork and skill pulled together into a memorable victory for their season. The match showed the individual talent of each bowler, as well as the team spirit they created together, making it an enjoyable event for everyone involved.

The team’s next match is on Jan.15th against Scott High School at home, Bellewood Lanes.
