Varsity bowling team highlights hard work and spirit against Dayton

On Dec. 4, the Highlands High School bowling team took on Dayton High School and captured the win. These photos emphasize our Highlands High School bowling team showing their hard work, dedication, and spirit, competing against any team they take on. During the match, players and coaches are focused and engaged as they strive for success, while also creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for the players.

The boys’ team went 7-0 on Thursday against the Dayton Devils. Meanwhile, Mason Carelock (10), Jack Buecker (11), Owen Burtke (11), and Max Yeager showed outstanding results during the match. These 4 boys showed determination and strived for competition during the match while also encouraging one another. The boys finished with a total of 2112 pins while Dayton scored 1118, meaning Highlands scored almost 2x as many pins as their opponent.

In addition to the boys’ team having an outstanding performance, the girls’ team also had a great match against Dayton, finishing 4-3. The outstanding players overall for this match were Izzy Brown (11), Lilly Grau (11), and Elliot Martin (#). These girls demonstrated resilience and steadiness as they led their team on Thursday night. They wrapped up the match with an ending score of 1726 pins, as Dayton scored 1568 pins, leading to a victorious night for the Highlands girls’ bowling team.
