Boys varsity basketball dominates in season-opening win over St. Henry

Highlands’ boys opened up their season with a 71-40 win over St.Henry on Tuesday, Dec. 2. 

Offensively, Highlands controlled the game, putting up 13 points in the first quarter, 20 in the second, 21 in the third, and 17 in the fourth to get that 31-point leading win. 

In the scoring effect, Nathan Rickard (12) with 13 points and Finn Bouldin (12) with 10 points led the team all four quarters. 

At the free-throw line, Highlands was efficient, knocking down 17 of 25 attempts, contributing offensively.

Defensively, the birds held to St.Henry to just 6 points in the first quarter and 40 in total, keeping pressure all throughout the game.

Highlands will look to continue this momentum at their first home game versus St.Joseph’s Gregory Terrace on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m.
