On Monday, Dec. 1, the Highlands girls varsity basketball team defeated the Dixie Colonels on their home turf, 63-53. 

Kaylee Mills (12) led the team in points scored, racking up a total of 17, with Solu Nzekwu (8) right behind her with 14 points. 

The team had a total of nine 3-pointers, with Kaylee Mills (12) making three, which was the highest out of everyone. 

Maddy Lickert (11) both attempted and made two free throws, and Kaylee Mills (12) attempted 3 and made 2. The team made a total of 10 free throws. 

Katie Bucher (12) achieved seven rebounds, with Kaylee Mills (12) following closely with six. 

These Bluebirds will continue to show true hard work on the court at the next game on Friday, December 5th, at 7:30 against Walton Verona.
