Highlands and Covington Catholic battled to a 1-1 draw in a heated rivalry match on Thursday, September 11.
Highlands struck first when Luis McVicker (11) scored a goal, giving them more momentum. CovCath later equalized to even the match before the second half began.
Goalkeeper Phineas Weiss (9) anchored the Highlands defense with 5 saves, keeping the game at a good level despite pressure.
The match was physical, with a total of 20 fouls recorded. CovCath finished the game a man down after receiving a red card at the end of the second half.
Highlands will return to action Tuesday, September 16, against Dixie Heights at 7 p.m. at the new Tower Park Athletic Complex.
