Highlands brought home their first loss last Friday, Sept. 12, after taking defeat from the Boyle County Rebels.
Although there are no statistics uploaded for the Rebels, offensively, Highlands had 97 rushing yards with 144 passing yards.
Quarterback Rio Litmer (12) completed 11 of 31 pass attempts for 144 yards, throwing 2 touchdown passes and 1 interception.
On the ground, Gabe Williams (11) led the rushing attempts with 12 carries for 60 yards, while Colton Kremer (10) added 28 yards on 3 attempts.
In the receiving game, Ian Garrahan (12) led with 2 receptions for 40 yards, while also adding 1 touchdown pass reception. Williams contributed 6 receptions for 39 yards.
The team finished with 1 rushing touchdown, 2 receiving touchdowns, and 2 extra points scored.
On defense, Issac Niemann (12) led the Birds with 3 solo tackles, all being tackles for loss (TFL). Williams followed with 1 solo tackle, resulting in TFL.
Peyton Klosterman (12) recovered one fumble, and Brady Carnohan (12) recovered another.
Highlands will be home at David Cecil Memorial Stadium, and will face Campbell County this Friday, Sept. 5, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
