On Tuesday, August 27, the Highlands Varsity Girls’ soccer team competed against the Bellevue Tigers. This match took place at Northern Kentucky University. The Birds came out victorious, with a score of 11-0.
Goals were scored by 11 different people, and 2 team members scored their first varsity goal.
This was Highlands’ fifth game of the season, giving them a season record of 1-3-1.
Gabriella Simon (11) competes with a Bellevue player for the ball. "Overall there were some things we could've done better, but coming out with our first win was great," Simon said.
The Birds compete next on August 29, for the Evansville tournament.
