Cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce” Gardner from the University of Cincinnati to the New York Jets from the fourth overall pick.

The NFL draft began last Thursday, April 28, 2022.

The first team on the clock was the Jacksonville Jaguars, who selected EdgeRusher Travon Walker from the University of Georgia.

One of the biggest surprises from the first round of the draft was the Baltimore Ravens trading Wide Receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals in return for their No. 23 pick.

The Ravens traded with the Buffalo Bills for more assets and the Bills’ No. 25 pick.

The Ravens ended the first night of the draft with Offensive Lineman Tyler Lindenbaum.

Another blockbuster trade was Tennessee Titans’ star Wide Receiver, A.J Brown, to the Philadelphia Eagles, in exchange for the No. 18 overall pick.

With the fourth pick, the New York Jets chose Cornerback Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner, from the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Gardner had an impeccable college career and never let up a touchdown pass throughout his three seasons as a Bearcat.

Deep into the first round, the Cincinnati Bengals, with the No. 31 pick, selected safety, Daxton Hill, from Michigan University.

With the last pick of the first round, the Minnesota Vikings selected Georgia safety Lewis Cine.
