On Friday, January 24 2025 Osamason released his third studio album, JumpOut.
This album also had many problems with its rollout. Originally set to release in late 2024, it was delayed because the entire album leaked, so it was scrapped and redone three times.
Despite this version of the album leaking in its entirety, OsamaSon decided to release it.
OsamaSon’s performance on this album was excellent, but the production brought it down.
JumpOut was executive produced by Wegonbeok, who I picked as my producer of the year. The quality of the beats was not poor, but they felt overdone.
A great example of this is the song “fool” where the beat sounds almost exactly the same as the beat wegonbeok made for the song “bbysit” by Protect.
Both of these beats also sound very similar to the beat wegonbeok made for the song “Room 156”, which is also on JumpOut.
Even within this project, the beats sound the same. The songs “GTFO”, “The Room” and “Made Sum Plans” have almost the same beat, with the latter sounding like a pitched-down version of the first.
Especially after the release of Nettspend’s BAFK his whole sound is extremely over-saturated. I believe that wegonbeok seriously needs to add some variety to his sound if he wants to maintain the fan base he grew in the underground.
Despite my issues with this album’s production, I still believe it’s a solid project. It will also do well with the mainstream audience, as they are not as used to Wegonbeok’s production.
Another reason I think this album is going to be successful is that within the first 24 hours of its release, the album received over three million streams.
