For the fans of costumed crime fighters, intergalactic odysseys, old-school action serials, and creepy classics, 2023 is going to be a very important year at the cinema, with so many exciting upcoming movies on the way. There are a lot of movies that we all wait for the continuation of. 

On November 17, 2023, ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ will be coming out in theaters.

Blue Beetle by DC Comics will be released on August 18, 2023.

‘Barbie’ the live-action film will land in theaters on July 21, 2023, after lots of hype on social media.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ will come out on May 2, 2025.

The new movie, ‘The Little Mermaid,’ will be in theaters on May 26, 2023. 

At Disney’s D23 Expo 2022, the Disney execs also announced a number of release dates for films including ‘Inside Out 2.’ ‘Inside Out 2’ was given a release date of June 14, 2024, almost exactly nine years after the original

On November 8, 2024, theaters will show ‘Deadpool 3.’  

Joker: Folie à Deux’ comes out on October 4, 2024, for all theaters.

Avengers: Secret Wars’ will arrive in theaters on May 1, 2026.

DreamWorks Animation has finally confirmed that the beloved franchise is making a comeback with ‘Shrek 5.’ It will happen on May 20, 2023

The movie is an upcoming live-action Swedish-American film based on the video game ‘Minecraft’. It is being directed by Jared Hess from a screenplay by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer and is currently slated to be released on April 4, 2025, by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The Marvel film, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3,’ is releasing on May 5, 2023.

The film’s title was revealed to be ‘Captain America: New World Order’ at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con along with its release date of May 3, 2024, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ will be in theaters on December 20, 2023. The film will be available to stream on HBO Max soon after it opens in theaters.

James Cameron himself stated that filming for ‘Avatar 3’ was nearly finished back in 2020. So, despite the film’s prior issues with release date pushbacks, it looks as though ‘Avatar 3’ will be sticking to its December 20, 2024, theatrical release.

The films are going to collect amazing profits and are the most expected films of the last decades.  After releasing movies at the theaters, most of them will be available on streaming services such as HBOmax, prime video, and Hulu.
