Justin Bieber is one of the 3 headliners at Coachella 2026. His appearance has become one of the most talked-about events of the entire festival. Fans have started to call Coachella “Bieberchella,” showing just how popular and how standout his performance was at the festival. The term spread quickly online, and his presence completely took over all social media platforms.

This was Bieber’s first concert in 4 years, in front of 125,000 people, and one of the most anticipated American Music Festivals. For almost half of his performance, he was on his laptop, searching up old videos of him singing and funny memes he wanted to share with the crowd. The mix of humor and nostalgia was all the audience needed for the performance.

The performance has blown up all over social media, clips, reactions, hashtags, etc. It went viral all over the world. Bieber had a perfect mix of all of his old hits and new ones. Fans fell in love with his performance and were shocked by how much he had grown during his years away from music.

The set honored Bieber’s legacy, showing his fans how far he had come from songs like “Baby” and “Somebody to Love” to newer songs like “Daises” and “Peaches”. For longtime listeners, it was a full circle moment, for newer listeners, it was like Bieber was sharing his personal journey in real time,

“I loved seeing him on tiktok performing, I had so much fomo [fear of missing out] from the performance,” Riley Turner (12) said.

His performance connected with many people, some not even longtime fans, some were not even fans at all. A lot of people were saying it healed their inner child listening to him perform his older songs. Lots were also saying it healed his inner child. Fans connected to his performance not in a literal sense but emotionally. Watching him revisit where he started and acknowledging his growth as not only a person but as a singer.

“I wish I could’ve gotten to go, it seemed so fun,” Caroline Eagen (11) said.

A lot of the fans that went to Coachella went to specifically watch Justin Bieber, many traveling long distances to and planning their whole weekend and festival experience around him. His return to the stage had an unmatched level of anticipation to watch him perform again. For lots of people, his performance was the main event of the festival, with people going early to secure spots at the front of the barricade, even people camping to get there early.
