Together in harmony; Band, strings, and choir concert

On Sunday, February 25th, the choir, strings, and band classes took the stage together to create one phenomenal concert. The band came on first and played two songs, “Appellation Morning,” and “Choose Joy,” dedicated to a lost friend of the band community, before the first strings group gathered. Once everyone was ready, they started their first song. The choir group chorale went next and they performed two pieces as well. The choir had the lyrics of their song printed onto the back of the program so the audience could sing along.

The second group then took the opportunity to show the audience what they had been practicing. The strings began with Lily Growl ensuring that their instruments were in tune. They then played one more song. The chamber choir came up and told a love story with their first song. All three classes then came up and performed their final song, “My Old Kentucky Home.” This concert was a great way for the band, choir, and strings groups to come together and show students why they take these courses.
