Mark your calendars Bluebirds! The band, strings, and choir classes have an upcoming concert this weekend. As students tune their instruments, warm up their vocal cords, and perfect their melodies preparing for the big performance, their excitement builds. They will showcase the hard work and dedication they have put into their classes for the past few months.

The choir plans to put on a show you won’t want to miss with their unique voices and beautiful harmonies. Their melodies will captivate the audience with each song. Under the guidance of Choir Teacher Jisoo Bae, the choir has been rigorously preparing for this performance for months. Special to this specific concert, they have a choreographed dance to go along with one of their songs!

“I think our songs during this concert will be very animated, definitely will be a show to remember,” said freshman Caroline Weber.

Meanwhile, the band will charm the audience with fun and passionate energy. Each instrument will come together during the performance to create a sound symphony that will ignite joy and excitement in the crowd. Featured performances from the band are something to look forward to during the showcase.

Freshman Camren Losey said, “Choose Joy is a solo that will be shown at the concert this weekend.”

Not to be forgotten, the strings ensemble will surely entertain the audience with the many instruments that come together in harmony. The strings classes have been working hard and perfecting some new songs as well as some student favorites. The ensemble groups will each be performing one song and the symphony class has also recently added a harp that everyone is very excited about.

“I am most looking forward to the combined performance with strings, band, and choir. We are playing My Old Kentucky Home and it’s really, really cool to see and to hear all the students playing one big piece together,” said strings teacher Meredith  Reber.

Whether you have a friend or family member playing in the concert, come out on Sunday at 2 P.M. to hear the musical stylings of our talented Bluebirds in strings, band, and choir.
