Over the last 20 years, streaming has taken over the music industry. Digital music revenues comprised 89% of the U.S. music industry’s revenue in 2022. Streaming services like Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music made up 84% of the total industry revenue.

Because streaming has taken over people’s main source of music consumption, fewer people have been attending live shows.

Since the end of 2023, many artists have announced tours in the Cincinnati area for the 2024 concert season.

Here’s a list of artists coming soon:

Travis Scott’s Utopia Tour is coming to Columbus, OH on Jan. 24, and Louisville, KY on Feb. 5.

Playboi Carti’s Opium Tour will be performed on Feb. 4 in Cleveland OH.

On Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2024, Drake and J. Cole will be performing at the Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center OH.

Olivia Rodrigo will be performing on Mar. 22 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus OH.

Lastly, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be performing on Jul. 5 at Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati OH.

Concerts are a great way to spend time with loved ones. So get dressed up for your favorite artists, have a great time, and be safe bluebirds!

Kenzie Henegar is a junior at Highlands high school. Originally from California, she migrated to Fort Thomas at the beginning of her 6th-grade year. For the first few years at school, she struggled to find something she wanted to be a part of at school. During freshman year Kenzie was convinced to join the journalism staff. Being a part of this small community gave her the boost of conveyance she needed to kick start her high school career. She has also always been interested in culinary arts. She has taken 3 years of culinary studies and plans to continue her journey through college. She hopes to become a well-known journalist when she gets older. Her dreams don't stop there. Kenzie sees herself in the Mediterranean, working on a big charter yacht.

Mya Schwartz, Feature Copy-Editor

Mya has been in journalism for 3 years and she is now a senior in high school. She is a copy editor and her favorite thing about journalism is the freedom of getting to write about anything she desires. She works at Highland Country Club and her favorite tv show is Criminal Minds.
