It is Mother’s Day in Fort Thomas and families want to do something special for their mothers.
This year, there is a painting event at The Hidden Chapter that families can participate in.
The Hidden Chapter is a bookstore in Fort Thomas in which they will be hosting a Mother’s Day event where participants can drink coffee at their newly expanded coffee shop while they paint. The theme of the painting will be Golden Blossoms, a beautiful flower that participants will paint.
This event, before this location, was only for adults, but it was changed so that children and adults could come and do this event as well.
“We initially got started with the Paint Sesh company and we have been doing it for about a year now,” The Hidden Chapter owner, Lacey Mulcahy said.
The Hidden Chapter saw this success with the Mother’s Day event last year, so they have continued it.
For this event, the owner and the company had to converset and the owners saw great success in the Mother’s Day paint and sip idea. The owner and the company have been doing it ever since.
“We first talked about the idea, but we had thrown other ideas around, and then we thought it was a great idea after its success,” Mulcahy said.
In this event, it will take a lot of setting up due to the place being small. For them, moving all the things around the store, like moving all the furniture and making sure that everything is just right to make families feel welcome.
“I will be going to the event, I am going with my mom and I am paying for her as well as myself,” Addyson Kent (11) said.
This event will be $35 a person. Participants will also have a guide to help them the whole time to make sure they are doing it right and making it beautiful.
Once again, if families are looking for something to do on Mother’s Day, come spend the day at The Hidden Chapter.
