Jump into Easter
There are many different traditions and many different ways to celebrate Easter. Even though some states usually celebrate holidays the same, with food and spending time with the family, other states have different traditions. For example, in New Orleans, it is popular to attend or watch the annual Easter carnival called ‘Mardi Gras’, which features a lot of fun activities such as dancing to jazz music.
Another popular tradition is hunting for Easter eggs and searching for your Easter basket. Kids love waking up and having something special to look forward to.
Decorating and coloring eggs are always quick and fun family activities to do if you don’t have much family time.
If you aren’t busy with work or other hassles of everyday life, you could take more time to sit down and enjoy a family dinner. After you enjoy your meal, you could create an Easter Garden and watch your flowers grow over time so that you’ll never forget the special holiday that you all shared.
Games are also a great way to spend time with your loved ones. One game that’s always fun is the shell crack game, where you have some hard-boiled eggs and some normal eggs and you crack them on your head. You might get a little messy, but it will definitely put it a smile on everyone’s faces. To include the younger kids, you can plant a jelly bean garden. You plant the jelly beans with the children. Then, overnight, replace jelly beans with lollipops.
There are so many traditions, but don’t be afraid to create your own! When it comes to Easter, any time spent with family and friends is happiness.
