As the second quarter began HHS started off strong with Senior Cole Kocher putting up 2 points from a block shot, however, Llyod wasn’t about to give up. They played a really strong offense and came up with the lead. At the end of the first half at the buzzer, Junior Will Herald made a 3 pointer making the score 49-40 Llyod, making Highlands down 9.

As the third quarter began, Senior Layton Reed took a charge, making it Highlands’ possession. The Birds laid easy on their defense causing Lloyd to stride into a greater lead against HHS. At the end of the 3rd quarter, Llyod was up 72-61.

The last quarter began with the score 67-72. A few minutes in, Highlands had to substitute in two additional players for the reason of having too many fouls on their starters. In the end, HHS lost with an end score of 91-78, making Lloyd score a win against the Birds.

The boys’ next game is Saturday, February 12, at 2:00 P.M. which is also Senior Night.
