Highlands beat Martha Layne Collins High School 45-0 last Friday, November 8th.
The team had 145 rushing yards and allowed 25 yards. They had 207 passing yards and 64 allowed yards.
Rio Litmer (11) led in passing with 11 of 15 pass attempts completed in 117 yards with one touchdown pass. Cale Harris (10) followed with 5 of 9 pass attempts completed in 90 yards with three touchdown passes.
Adam Surrey (12) led in rushing with three attempts for 49 yards, followed by Jack White (12) with three for 41 yards.
Gabe Williams (10) led in receiving with three pass receptions, 75 yards gained, and one touchdown pass reception. Surrey followed with four pass receptions and 38 yards gained.
The team scored three rushing touchdowns, three receiving touchdowns, one field goal, four extra points, and one 2-point conversion.
Tommy Ferring (12) had one fumble recovery for 8 yards.
Ferring led in defensive, having two assists, one TFL, and one defensive. TJ Hicks (12) followed with one solo tackle and one defensive tackle, one TFL and one defensive.
Williams had one interception with 12 yards returning, and Dom Gregory (12) had one interception with no yards returning.
For the third round of playoffs, the Birds are on the road this week, playing Woodford County at Falling Springs on Friday, November 15th. Kickoff is set for 7:30.
