This past Friday, September 1, the Bluebirds hosted Campbell County for the third game of the season. Highlands started very hot in the first quarter as they scored thirty-one points. Going into halftime the game was closer than anticipated as Highlands only led Campbell County 39-28, However with the help of some big plays by quarterbacks Rio Litmer and Brody Benke the Birds would end up beating the Camels 67-34. The Birds’ offense was clicking again in the second half as they outscored the Camels 28-6.
This Friday, September 8, the Birds will once again play at home as they welcome in the Ryle Raiders who are coming off a statement win against Cooper High School.
