Highlands girls basketball team lost their first game of the season to Dixe 42-32 on November 28th, 2023
The game went well enough even though they lost.
The audience was able to see the new eighth graders in action during this game like eighth grader Maren Orme.
She didn’t play the best statistically but she was able to control the game and move the ball well and when she’s open she can pop it.
But most of the points came from Junior Marissa Green (9), Sophomore Saylor Macke (10), and Kaylee Mills (7).
Even though Highlands lost it was just the first game, this is a young team and there is a lot of improvement needed but this team can turn it around and may be a treacherous team to beat later in the season.
Since this game, they are 1-2, their next game being on December 5th, 2023 vs Cooper.
