On Sept. 25, Highlands High School’s soccer programs had their senior night, recognizing the Class of 2025 players and their families.
Seniors were honored on the field with their parents before each game, making it a night of celebration.
“My favorite soccer memory with the team so far has definitely been winning the regional championship last year,” Macy Hargis (12) said.
“The adversity that we overcame, and the way it brought us together as a team, was truly special.”
Hargis also talked about the program’s impact off the field.
“Playing soccer at Highlands has made me not only a better player, but a better person,” Hargis said.
“Through this program, I’ve learned the importance of working for those around you. The way the team has come together over the last few years gave me a new perspective on the importance of teamwork. This team has really become more like a family.”
The evening gave a chance to celebrate not only the seniors’ athletic accomplishments but also the leadership and legacy that they have.
