The Birds end their slump and top the Jaguars 5-3

Highlands boys soccer secured a strong 5-3 victory over Cooper on Thursday, Sept. 23.

Offensively, the Bluebirds spread the scoring around with goals from Wyatt Zepft (12), Nick Wilson (12), Preston Daniel (9), Luis McVicker (11), and an own goal by Cooper.

Highlands kept the pressure on as McVicker tallied 3 assists and Zepf added one more to make the total 4.

In goal, Eli Pearson (11) recorded 4 saves and Keifer Sower (10) added 2.

Throughout the physical match also made Highlands also picked up two yellow cards.

The Bluebirds will be back in action on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6 p.m. at the Tower Park Complex against Villa Madonna.
