The Highlands Cross Country team ran at the Ryle Invitational Saturday morning. Highlands boys varsity placed 7th out of 14 teams with Brady Robinson (12) 22nd, Ben Gallagher (11) 28th, Jacob Gubser (11) 36th, Jackson Bowman (11) 48th, Logan Shell (11) 75th. The girls placed 9th out of 11 teams with Liza Zengel (11) 56th, Sarah Jones (12) 59th, Georgia Zengel (9) 62nd, Rosalyn Brown (11) 65th, and Marlowe Heiert (9) 69th. This team raced Ryle’s 5k course which has numerous up and down hills. A factor that sets this course apart from others is the finish on a steep hill. The team did well, but there are improvements the team can work on, working up to larger meets in early October.
