The Highlands Varsity boys played a match against Ryle High School this Tuesday, April 23. The team won with a combined score of 4-1 over the Ryle Raiders. With only one loss this was a very dominant win for the Bluebirds.
Senior, Eli Back played on singles team 1 for the Bluebirds and said this about how he thought he performed in the match;
“My match was about, like, 2 and a half hours long. It was pretty tough. He’s a good competitive player.”
Senior, Ryder Perme played on one of the doubles teams with Sophomore, Daniel Beasey. He was asked about the format of the Ryle match as well as his thoughts on how he and Daniel played as well as the rest of the team;
“Singles went really well. Doubles also went well. It was a good match overall.”
The season is still early and plenty of matches are left to be played. But Highlands has found a good rhythm and hopefully, they can continue this season with many more wins like this one.
