On Feb 13, 2024, the girls’ tennis team gathered together for their very first practice. The team met at Tower Park around 4:45 pm and started by running around the park followed by a few warm-ups. They completed alternating exercises to get a feel of the ball and racket. They then split into three groups and began playing the sport while rotating servers to ensure everyone got their turn. A few hours later, they ended the practice with a race against their coach with freshman Avery Schweitzer making it to the other end of the court first. The tennis team is a great place to collaborate and learn from peers while having fun and discovering new hobbies.
