Highlands lost 39-70 to Covington Catholic in a tough and grueling day of play.
In the first quarter, they trailed and with Senior Nathan Vinson leaving the court with an apparent knee injury, it was not looking good for the Birds against an adamant team.
In the second quarter, Vinson returned and tried to help the team take a lead over the Colonels but they continued to fall behind.
The third quarter played similar to the first half but the Colonels slowly started to pull away each minute.
In the final quarter, Highlands needed to lock in, but sadly the colonels pulled away and Highlands lost 39-70.
Their next game is at home on January 30th vs Dayton High School.
