Highlands beat Dayton High School 66-24 on January 16th, 2023
Highlands has been rolling through opponents, with six straight wins with their last one being their first home game of the year against Ursuline Academy, 62-40.
In the first quarter, they dominated with Sophomore Saylor Macke opening up with three consecutive 3-pointers. She ended the game shooting 4-7 from the three and totaled 12 points, the most on the team that night.
Going into half-time Highlands lead l and it looked like a blowout was ensuing.
Going into the third Highlands, started to bench their starters and gave the other players some playing time.
In the fourth, sophomore Isa Neufarth came in and ended up going 3-3 from the three with two more points on top of that to end with 11 points.
Highlands’ next game is vs 9-3 Newport Central Catholic and will be played at home on January 19th.
