On the dot: The HHS archery team qualifies for nationals

This weekend the archery team traveled to Louisville for NASP (National Archery in the School Program), state. At state, the team was able to score 3272, making them 41st out of 149 teams.

Two archers scored a 50, John Dougherty and Gabby Barnett, and 5 archers shot their career high. These archers are John Dougherty, 286, Reagan McPhedran, 280, Gabby Barnett, 271, Addison Greene, 262, and Max Holbrook, 255.

Out of the top 24 archers that were taken to NASP state, 17 of them shot above their averages from the rest of the season. This week the archery team will be traveling to Beechwood High School for KHSAA (Kentucky High School athletic association) Archery Regionals on Wednesday and Thursday.
