The Oscar is the most recognizable and desirable Award imaginable, and being a part of this event is the most significant moment in the movie industry. The Oscar is not only for actors, actresses, and directors, but also animators, costume designers, editors, stylists, musicians, and writers as well. It is an annual ceremony, where all stars begin to shine even brighter. This year is going to be the 95th ceremony for  The Oscar Award, and it will be held on March 12th at  Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC. However, the nominations have already been announced on the official website.  The main nominations like the best actress and actor in the leading role are

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” is the most nominated movie for The Oscar 2023, it got 11 nominations in different fields. This film is a 2022 American absurdist comedy-drama film written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, and the producer  Anthony and Joe Russo. The movie’s plot is about a Chinese-American immigrant who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse. “Everything Everywhere All at Once” has 11 Oscar nominations: Best Picture, Best Actress for Yeoh, Best Supporting Actress for Hsu and Curtis, Best Supporting Actor for Quan, Best Directing for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Best Costume Design, Best Original Score, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Song and Best Film Editing. “Everything Everywhere All at Once” was released in March 2022 and had great success, grossing $105 million dollars. 

Another film that was nominated for the Oscar nine times this year is “Banshees of Inisherin” a black tragicomedy film directed, written, and co-produced by Martin McDonagh. This movie was set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland. The main faces of the Banshees of Inisherin are Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. Pádraic, the main character,  is devastated when his close friend Colm suddenly puts an end to their lifelong friendship. With help from his sister and a troubled young islander, Pádraic sets out to repair the damaged relationship by any means necessary. However, as Colm’s resolve only strengthens, he soon delivers an ultimatum that leads to shocking consequences. The plot of this film is exciting and has high ratings with good reviews from lots of critics all over the world. 

One popular film that also has nine Oscar nominations is “All Quiet on the Western Front”. It is a 2022 German epic anti-war film based on the 1929 novel of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque. Directed by Edward Berger, the cast includes Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Daniel Bruhl, Sebastian Hülk, Aaron Hilmer, Edin Hasanovic, and David Striesow. Set in the closing days of World War I, it follows the life of an idealistic young German soldier named Paul Bäumer. After enlisting in the German Army with his friends, Bäumer finds himself exposed to the realities of war, shattering his early hopes of becoming a hero as he does his best to survive.
