Looking around and seeing the many familiar smiling faces. Hearing the different types of cars and buses with just one, having the HHS dance team performing on it. With many people gathering around the city of Fort Thomas with music and school spirit the HHS parade is a positive and exciting thing to experience. 

HHS decided to go through with a Fort Thomas Parade. The HHS Parade will take place on Wednesday, October 19th at 6:00 p.m. Many different small businesses also each get a way of selling/introducing their products. Many dancers get another chance to perform live. 

Senior Katie Deshler is a big part of helping with the parade and planning and organizing the event to ensure every client and team has a set time and route to which they will be successful.  Deshler said, “We want the parade to be a fun event for the school and the community. We’ve spent the last few months making sure we have as many participants as possible. I believe the one thing that stood out the most to us was the schools that had a parade in general!” 

This is something that hasn’t been done in Fort Thomas in nearly 20 years. 

Family and Consumer Science teacher Ahren Wagner said, “ We don’t want this to be a “one-and-done,” deal. We want this to become a Fort Thomas tradition people will look forward to year after year.”   

All proceeds from the parade will be donated to the red cross to help families and communities in need who have recently suffered Hurricane Ian.
