In Governor Andy Beshear’s press conference on November 18, he announced that all public and private schools (K-12) in the state of Kentucky are required to cease in-person instruction beginning November 23.

Middle and high schools are to remain in remote instruction until January 4, 2021, and elementary schools until December 7, 2020 if their county is not a red zone and their school follows all Healthy at School guidelines.

Beshear also announced that starting November 20 at 5 P.M., all gyms, fitness centers, and pools will have more regulations put in place. This will include maintaining a six-foot distance, prohibiting group classes, reducing capacity to 33%, and requiring masks. This will last until December 13 at 11:59 P.M.

More information regarding how Fort Thomas Independent Schools will handle this mandate is to come.
