Love Island USA season 6 returns this summer with a new spinoff called Love Island: Beyond The Villa. While the date is still to be decided, the new show features some of the show’s favorite characters, including Leah Kateb, Serena Page, JaNa Craig, Aaron Evans, Kaylor Martin, Olivia Walker, and Miguel Harichi. Kordell Beckham will also be starring in the show, but only as a guest due to a prior commitment.
All the islanders featured in the show will meet in Los Angeles, and the show will focus on their lives post-villa. The cast members will share how their relationships have developed or ended after the show and how each couple has adapted to being back in the real world.
Many students, including Mia Kroener (10), take a specific liking to some couples.
“I think everyone’s favorite was JaNa and Kenny because they have a strong emotional connection that I don’t see with any other couples.” Kroener expressed.
The best part about Love Island is seeing new romantic endeavors blossom over the summer months. Dramatic twists, bombshells, and fan voting make or break the relationships. The ones who make it through become fan favorites, and fans can’t wait to see their favorite couples again.
Similar to Kroener, Kaydin Casebolt’s (11) favorite couple is also JaNa and Kenny.
“I think they are so cute together, on and off the show,” Casebolt said.
Another favorite couple is the winners of season 6, Serena and Kordell.
“I liked Serena Page and Kordell Beckham because they seem committed to each other, and I think they would be good together long-term,” Peyton Gabbard (10) exclaimed.
The show focuses not only on the romantic relationships formed in the villa but also on the friendships. Many fans are excited to see “PPG,” otherwise known as The Powerpuff Girls, a fan favorite trio that includes Leah Kateb, JaNa Craig, and Serenea Page. Fans are also elated to see Kaylor Martin and Olivia Walker’s friendship back on the big screen.
“I want them to bring back previous characters to show how they have grown and improved as people. I also want them to add a couple more people to the show to make it more interesting,” Kendal Heartness (10) said.
Since many cast members have developed a new social media presence since leaving the show, fans are excited to see how they have all handled and navigated their newfound fame.
The show’s premiere has yet to be released, but fans know it’s coming their way Summer of 2025 on Peacock.
