St. Patricks Day baking: Recipe of luck
Every year on March 17th, people from all over the world celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This year, Caroline and I got together to honor the spirit of the holiday and decided to bake St. Patty’s day themed cookies.
We first took a trip to the local Kroger in order to obtain the ingredients we needed for baking. The first recipe that we decided to make was a double chocolate fudge brownie in cookie form, with different shades of green Saint Patrick’s day flavored mint chocolate M&M’s. This idea was provided for us at https://lovetobeinthekitchen.com/2016/03/03/mint-mm-brownie-cookies/.
The recipe called for a box of brownie mix, green M&M’s, as well as a baking tray, and a sheet of parchment paper to go under the cookies while they are in the oven.
The first step of our cookie-making process began with creating the brownie batter. We mixed the ingredients as instructed on the packaging, as well as added the M&M’s, and mixed the batter thoroughly.
Instead of pouring the batter into a brownie pan, we rolled small sections into a puck shape and placed them on a cookie sheet to bake. With the oven preheated at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, we put our cookies in to bake on a 13 by 9 size cookie pan.
30 minutes later, we took the cookies out of the oven. The consistency was rich and gooey, with each bite tasting better. The green M&M’s added a crunch and a smooth flavor to our brownie cookies, with the end result being delicious.
