On April 24, 2024, Team Ground Shakaz decided to announce on their Facebook page that they would be holding a bass meet in Alexandria Pike, at Fort Thomas, Kentucky. At 7:30, the Ground Shakaz sponsored The Midnight Riderz and Luney Tuners. They wanted people to come out and have fun.
Team Ground Shakaz and the Midnight Riderz Founder stated that: “We accept newcomers and wish more people will join and enjoy The Bass.”
However, it is a pricey endeavor. Co-founder of Ground Shakaz, Angelica Carrier, stated that: “if anyone wanted a speaker or a bass set up that they all get their speakers from Sundown Audio, and the range of money a normal setup would cost someone would be around $1,000-3,000.”
In the car community branch, the people will spin their tires and create loud noises to drown out how their cars have no bass.
The cofounder Elizebeth Kamp and founder Stephanie Hager of Luney Tuners stated: “We don’t have a system, we just like the loud music that comes to the meets.”
The rules before joining any of the Facebook or TikTok groups are as followed by the founders.
Rome Carrier (Founder of GroundShakaz) stated: “Respect the lot, no burning rubber and no excessive revving,” as some guidelines.
Underwood (Bonnie Co-Founder Of Midnight Riderz) stated: “No drama, no lying, no stealing. Once you become family you have to be loyal to the family”
The 3 groups of Ohio moved their meet to Alexandria, where more people could come out. They got new members in Kentucky and hope to have more and see more people at meets. The groups have meets 3 to 4 times a week and want people to come, not only for the music but for the fun of cars.
Founders of Midnight Riderz, GroundShakaz, and Luney Tuners stated they hope to see newcomers from Kentucky real soon by posting more on Facebook and TikTok about their meets.
