For years, U.S. History teacher, Mrs. Kimberly Grillot, has been the senior class sponsor. But as of the 2023-2024 school year, HHS basketball coach and Biology teacher, Mr. Kevin Listerman has taken the role.

Listerman wanted to take on this role as it is something that he has never done before. He has experience with the senior class due to his role as a senior advisory teacher, allowing him to have more of a hands-on role with the class.

He is planning to participate in planning with the senior class officers. This includes working on senior football games, powder puff, senior days, the senior service project, as well as graduation details.

The meaning of this role is held highly by him, as he mentions the significance it holds. 

“It’s a chance to work with the leaders of the senior class, to be part of the process, and hopefully create some fun memories for the senior class,” said Listerman.

Listerman is hoping to continue the role of being a senior sponsor for next year’s senior class, as he has put a lot of work into planning and wants to make traditions that every graduating class looks forward to each year.
